AUGUST
6, 2007 - SAN PEDRO, CA. - The July 12 episode of Rachael
Ray's hit television show featured a segment filmed during
the 2006 LobsterDog Pet Parade at the Port of Los Angeles
Lobster Festival. The parade takes place at noon on Saturday
during the festival, and is a fundraiser for Peninsula Dog
Parks, Inc.
"Peninsula Dog Parks has done an incredible job each year producing the
LobsterDog Parade, and Rachael Ray managed to really capture both the originality
of the costumes and the excitement of the parade," said Jim Hall, Lobster
Festival producer. "I'm so glad that all their hard work is bringing national
attention to the great job they do." The LobsterDog Parade has also been
the subject of documentaries on American life produced in Germany and Korea.
"Being featured on the Rachael Ray Show puts San Pedro's own Lobster Festival
in a whole new category, we're now officially a nationally recognized event," Hall
said. "No other food festival in Southern California has been featured on
both the Food Network, and a show like Rachael Ray's. I'd say that ranks Port
of Los Angeles Lobster Festival right up there claw-to-claw as a major family
event.
The Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival is the World's Largest Lobster Festival
and is sponsored by the Port of Los Angeles and features San Pedro Fish Market's
amazing World's Largest Lobster Cooker. The dates of the three day Port of Los
Angeles Lobster Festival are Sept. 14, 15, 16, 2007 in San Pedro, CA at scenic
Ports O' Call Village. The festival is on the web at www.lobsterfest.com.
