THIS WEEKEND THE PORT OF LOS ANGELES LOBSTER FESTIVAL WILL JOIN WITH PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN CAST MEMBERS TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF ORANGE COUNTY

PORTS O' CALL VILLAGE, SAN PEDRO, CA - SEPTEMBER 9, 2007 - Guests at the Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival will have a chance to meet real movie stars when cast members from Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl will make a personal appearance at the Brethren of the Coast Pirate Camp on Saturday, Sept 15, and Sunday September 16 to raise funds for Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Autographed photos will be available for a small fundraising fee, as will photo opportunities with the cast members for guests who bring their own camera. Supplied photos will cost $10.00 and $5.00 for a photo opp.

On deck with the Brethren of the Coast and raising funds for Children’s Hospital of Orange County will be Michael Berry, Jr. who played Twigg; Isaac Singleton, Jr. who played the Bo’sun; Treva Etienne who played Koehler and Vince Lozano who played Jacoby. They will be at the camp 11 am to 8 pm on Saturday and 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday.

Over the past nine years the producers of the Lobster Festival have donated over $100,000.00 to local non-profits including Harbor Interfaith Services, the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce, San Pedro Rotary Club, La Piazza Cultural Center, Hurricane Katrina Relief and others.

The Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival opens at 5 pm on Friday, September 14 and runs through the weekend. Highlighting the free activities throughout the five-acre site will be the ScubaTour where visitors can try scuba diving in a 26,000 gallon heated pool, the LobsterDog Pet Parade, a marine life touch tank, and the Brethren of the Coast's pirate camp.

The main stage will feature over a dozen of the hottest new music acts in the nation - from hard rock to progressive gospel including modern folk and tributes to heavy metal, ZZ Top and country rock. Headlining Sunday is Ambrosia. Admission is $8.00 for adults, kids under 12 get in free. Discount coupons good for $2.00 off admission are downloadable at lobsterfest.com. Conveniently located at the end of the 110 Harbor Freeway, parking and shuttle buses are free. 2007 festival hours are: 5 pm to 11 pm, Friday, September 14; 11 am to 11 pm, Saturday, September 15; 11 am to 7 pm, Sunday, September 16.
